CanCham Vietnam Launches New Hanoi Committee to Increase the Presence of Canadian Business in the Capital

17 June 2026, Hanoi – The Canadian Chamber of Commerce (CanCham) in Vietnam has launched a new Hanoi Committee to better connect Canadian businesses in the capital.

Inaugurated this week, the new committee will aim to bring together companies, investors, and individuals in Hanoi to promote Canadian business among both authorities and business communities in Northern Vietnam.

The CanCham Hanoi Committee will host networking events, attend business roundtables, support trade delegations from Canada, and represent the chamber at government events in Hanoi and surrounding provinces.

The Committee will hold its first event in September, kicking off with a networking night in Hanoi. The event will gather Canadian business leaders, investors, and partners to build stronger connections among Canadians in the capital.

The inaugural CanCham Vietnam Hanoi Committee includes five members:

  • Jack Nguyen (Chair) – CEO of InCorp Vietnam
  • Emilie Carrier – Senior Trade Commissioner at the Canadian Embassy in Hanoi
  • Thuy Bui – Government Relations Manager at Manulife Vietnam
  • James Peroff – Director at Aero Asia
  • Joshua James – Integration Director at BUV

“Vietnam is Canada’s biggest trade partner in ASEAN, and we are seeing more and more interest from Canadian companies – and the Canadian government – in this fast-growing market,” said Zach Herbers, President of CanCham Vietnam. “CanCham has been active in Vietnam for 25 years. But our new Hanoi Committee shows the increasing importance of Vietnam to Canada and Canadian business. We are excited to grow our engagement and presence in and around Hanoi in the coming months.”

“Canadian companies in different sectors are seeing the growing potential of Vietnam”, added Jack Nguyen, Chair of the CanCham Hanoi Committee. “Some have been here for some time. Others are new to the market. So, it is more important than ever that Canadian companies come together in the capital to share our knowledge and increase our impact. I’m looking forward to working with our members in the North to represent Canadian business, build our profile in Hanoi, and engage with new partners.”
