CanCham does networking differently....
Introducing Get To Know CanCham Board Series š
We are conducting small 5-question interviews with our board to get to know them a little more. The questions aim to learn about them on a much deeper level by asking personal questions that bring to surface their deeper ponderings.
We interviewed Winnie Lam to hear about what inspire her...
1ļøā£ What do you miss most about Canada?
The smell of fresh air. I was from Vancouver where we can ski and water ski in the same day during some months.
2ļøā£ What are you most excited about being a part of the CanCham board?
Having been absent from the board for a few years and now returning is an honor to start with. The opportunity to connect and reconnect with fellow Canadians is very previous. We can talk about the Canadian way of living which sometimes are lost on the other friends.
3ļøā£ What was your first job?
My first formal job was being High School Teacher and I was there for 2 years upon graduating from the teacherās college. Did well but donāt think thatās what I want for the rest of my life even though I am always involved with education one way or another.
4ļøā£ What are you most passionate about?
People development. Thereās nothing more exciting about seeing others excel and achieve what they set out to achieve against all odds. The spirit and perseverance of the human nature is so mesmerizing.
5ļøā£ What was your childhood dream job?
To be an investigator! Reading too much Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christy obviously!
