Dan On Foods Corporation Welcomes HMCS Montréal to “Mái Ấm Tình Mẹ 2” Orphanage for Community Activities

On August 17, 45 crew members from HMCS Montréal, accompanied by Canada’s Ambassador to Vietnam, Shawn Steil, visited “Mái Ấm Tình Mẹ” orphanage, completing various repair and renovation tasks to improve the facilities. This meaningful activity was part of HMCS Montréal's port call in Vietnam.

HMCS Montréal, a Royal Canadian Navy ship captained by Commander Travis Bain, arrived at Nha Rong Wharf in Ho Chi Minh City on August 15 for a visit that lasted until August 19. The ship, with 247 officers onboard, is on a mission to strengthen Canada’s dynamic partnership with Vietnam and the broader Indo-Pacific region.

The visit highlighted Canada’s commitment to fostering people-to-people ties and supporting local communities in Vietnam. During their time at the shelter, the crew, along with Dan On Foods representatives, engaged in various activities including planting trees, repairing facilities, and sharing meals with the children.
