The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (CanCham Vietnam) proudly welcomed the Canadian Women-only Business Mission to Vietnam, held from November 20 to 23, 2024. Organized by the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada (APF Canada) with support from the Government of Canada through Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada, this initiative aimed to deepen bilateral trade, empower women entrepreneurs, and promote sustainable economic growth.
As a local key partner, CanCham Vietnam managed the delegation’s logistics, event coordination, and media support, ensuring the mission's seamless execution and meaningful impact. Through strong local connections and expert organization, CanCham facilitated networking opportunities, cultural immersion, and strategic discussions between Canadian and Vietnamese stakeholders.
Highlights of the Mission
Symposium "Inclusive Future: Partnering for Sustainable Innovation"
The delegation gathered at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH-VNUHCM) for the “Partnering for Sustainability” Symposium, featuring three dynamic panels on leadership, innovation, and ecosystem building. Delegates shared actionable strategies to promote gender-inclusive trade and celebrated the achievements of women entrepreneurs.
Cultural Briefing and Visit
In the afternoon, CanCham organized a cultural visit to the Ho Chi Minh City War Remnants Museum, providing historical insights and fostering an appreciation of Vietnam’s rich culture and resilience.
Networking Reception
That evening, CanCham hosted an exclusive B2B Networking Reception at the Sofitel Hotel, welcoming nearly 80 participants. The event offered a platform for Canadian delegates and Vietnamese business leaders to connect, exchange ideas, and explore collaboration opportunities.
Strategic Engagement on November 22
The following day featured a B2B Session and a Bilateral Roundtable focused on Strategic Collaboration for Gender Economic Advancement. These sessions emphasized actionable approaches to strengthening trade and empowering women-led enterprises.
Site Visit to Becamex IDC Industrial Parks
On the final day, CanCham led the delegation on a site visit to Becamex IDC Industrial Parks in Binh Duong. Delegates engaged with Becamex executives to explore innovative industrial practices, sustainable urban development, and opportunities for collaboration. Becamex highlighted its vision of becoming Asia’s preeminent manufacturing hub and strengthening ties with Canadian enterprises.
This successful mission showcased the innovation, leadership, and resilience of Canadian women entrepreneurs while strengthening economic ties between Canada and Vietnam.
