🎤 Ms. Minh Dang - Head of Research, Dragon Capital  - Economics Update

Minh Dang is currently Head of Research at Dragon Capital. She started her career with Dragon Capital as a Financial Analyst, covering Information Technology and Agriculture. Before being promoted to Deputy Head of Research in 2018, Minh extended her coverage to a broad range of industries, including Retailing, Financial services, and led numerous privatization, IPO, and private placement deals. She now leads a Research team of 19 analysts and officers. Minh has served the Supervisory Board at Ho Chi Minh City Securities Company since 2012 and was elected as Chairwoman of the Audit Committee in 2021.

🎤 Mr. Peter Redhead - Head of Research, Ho Chi Minh Securities Corporation (HSC) - Stock Market Updates

Mr. Peter Redhead joined HSC as Managing Director - Head of Research since 17 April 2023. He has been working in the financial markets for over 25 years. He has played senior roles as a Head of Research and Equities for ING Barings (Thailand) and Jardine Fleming Securities (Hong Kong). Mr. Peter used to work for JPMorgan as Head of Asian Research and Head of European research. Before HSC, he was Head of Global Equity Research at Macquarie.

🎤 Mr. Ralf Matthaes - Founder/Managing Director, Infocus Mekong Research - Consumers Updates

Ralf has worked and lived in Vietnam for 30 years, all in market research.

After 20 years of Corporate life, Ralf established Infocus Mekong Research, Vietnam’s first dedicated smartphone-based research agency with the largest consumer-based panel in Vietnam.

From 1996 – 2015, Ralf set-up and ran offices in Vietnam and South Asia, as Regional Managing Director TNS – Kantar South Asia. Prior to coming to Vietnam in 1994, Ralf served as a policy analyst for the Provincial Minister of Finance for Ontario, Canada.

He holds an Honours degree from Wilfred Laurier University, Canada.

Ralf is an Honorary Board member of Can cham having served  as President, Vice-President and Board Member for 12 years

🎤 Mr. Alex Crane - Managing Director, Knight Frank - Real Estate Updates

Alex has worked in Vietnam since 2011 having started his real estate career in the UK in 2003. Throughout this time Alex has worked across all sectors of the commercial real estate industry including sale & acquisition of investment and development opportunities and therefore has impeccable knowledge of property life-cycle from both landlord and occupier perspectives.

Prior to opening Knight Frank office in 2022, Alex was managing director of another global real estate consultant and brokerage in Vietnam and during this time achieved record revenues and profit while funding organic growth ensuring the firm became a top-3 player in each service it offered.   Alex also incrementally increased spend on employees, training, marketing etc. while also increasing the number of Vietnamese nationals with senior positions at the company.

A broker by background, Crane has worked across project management, valuation and consulting, capital markets and investment property.

🎤 Mr. Matthew Smith - Head of Research, Yuanta Securities Vietnam - Banking Updates

Matthew Smith is Head of Institutional Research at Yuanta Securities Vietnam. A native of Massachusetts, Matt has resided in several East Asian locations since 1995: Seoul, Taipei, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, and (since 2018) Saigon. Previous employers include Macquarie Bank, ING Barings, and – 23 years ago – Amcham Taipei. In his current role with Yuanta, Matt focuses on advisory work for institutional and high-net-worth individual investors in Vietnam financial assets, including equities and fixed income securities. A CFA charter holder, Matt earned a BA in History from UMass Amherst and a Master of Finance from INSEAD.
