Kelly Wong, President
Kelly Wong is currently the Group CFO and Deputy General Director of KIDO Group (KDC). KIDO Group, formerly Kinh Do Corporation was established in 1993. In its 22-year history, KIDO Group has remained the market leader in confectionary across a wide array of products such as sponge cake, bread, moon cake, cookie and ice-cream under the Kinh Do brand name. In 2015, leveraging its existing strengths, KIDO continues to be a market leader in ice-cream, dairy and dairy related products while expanding its product portfolio into the staple food category with cooking oil, instant noodle, seasoning and packaged food.
In his role as Group CFO, Mr. Wong represents the Group in its various investments as the General Director of East Ocean Real Estate & Tourist JSC., Head of the Supervisory Board of KIDO Frozen Food JSC., Board Member of Rong Viet Security JSC and Board Member of KIDO Land JSC.
Prior to joining KDC, Mr. Wong was a Managing Director with Ho Chi Minh Securities Corporation (HSC), where he helped to establish the Investment Banking & Advisory team and lead several key landmark transactions in areas including media, telecommunications and retail. Before joining HSC in 2008, Mr. Wong worked for HSBC Vietnam for 4 years where he was involved in corporate banking, commercial banking and global markets. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada and a Diploma in Asia Pacific Management from the McRae Institute of Manage at Capilano University.
In addition to his work at KDC, Kelly is active as a Board Member of Sponsorship for Educational Opportunities in Vietnam (SEO-V), a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the development of leadership capacity amongst professionals that will help make a different in Vietnam. He also holds the role of Treasurer for the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam and is the President of the UBC Alumni Association in Vietnam.
